Jillian & David's Wedding Blog
I had the privilege to capture Jillian & David's wedding on Sunday at the beautiful Murrayshall Hotel in Perth.
The day started off at bridal prep where there was comings and goings of different family members. Page boys & flower girls kept on appearing & were so cute, shy to begin with but didn't take long to come around to their usual self. It was starting to get closer to Jillian getting ready into her dress & low and behold she is getting her hair cut so that the front was equal.
Ceremony was at 2 o'clock in the blistering sun, where the heartfelt ceremony took place, with some really lovely personalised touches from David performing with his Perthshire Brass Band, where they performed Jillian's favourite song from 'Chess'. It all got a bit much for sister & maid of honor Kat as she had to get a tissue. Jillian's Dad played the piano whilst the register was getting signed, which again was a great personal touch.
The sun was not letting up & the guests were enjoying their drinks in the sun whilst we managed to get some lovely couple portraits. We managed to get out after the speeches & dinner in golf buggies as Murrayshall is a huge suntrap, I then went off & checked out the next photography location where I needed a test subject as I was on my own. So I improvised using Kat &Neil, who very graciously agreed to do so, so we made a little photo shoot for them. Followed by the bride and groom of course.
It was then time for the cutting of the cake, then the first dance. Jillian was so coy at bridal prep saying that they were going to just sway together, however they pulled off a very lovely choreographed dance routine to the music from the excellent band Callanish.
We ended the night with a couple of night time shots & I can say that I had a great time capturing their amazing day alongside with very friendly & welcoming family & friends.
