Emma & David pre shoot

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

On Sunday I had my first of 2 pre shoots at David's family farm. I got to the farm & Emma invited me into their house as the weather was windy & a bit miserable so we chatted for a bit before we saw an opportunity in the weather.

We took a walk up the road to where the wedding will be held in the barn & apart from the tractors & a few bits & bobs lying around it sounds & will be an excellent day. the marquee will be inside the barn which is a genius idea with the feel of a marquee but with the added benefit of being alot warmer & not worrying too much about the weather outside. Emma & David talked me through the barn & they have alot of exciting plans & David might also clean a certain tractor for a photo opportunity.

We then started to make our way around the farm & I had them leaning against a barn wall & a friend pulled up wanting the gate open. Whilst at the wall this is when I realised that this pair are not so keen on photographs being taken, however this is a challenge for me & let them know that everyone feels like this & is a natural reaction & not to worry about it too much.

They both did an amazing job with everything I asked them to do I just wish the wind would of played it's part better, lol. However this is why again I love to have the pre wedding shoot included into my price & we know what works & not so much, every couple is different from being comfortable, heights & having a better side.

We took a little circuit around the grounds & Oscar came along & was an amazing little friend & model. Oscar will be there on the day & along with maybe 2 other dog's so for me this will be amazing for the images but as a dog lover even better. We also talked about a few other idea's that I will not divulge as these may change or a nice surprise for the day but if we do get these plans then this will be exciting & look forward to capturing Emma & David's wedding day.

After the circuit we just made it inside before the weather started to change again(apart from the wind that was crazy) & got warmed up with a cup of tea & biscuits.

I am so glad I got the opportunity to go the farm & see where the wedding will be & I have a better understanding of where I may or may not go.
